Both private sector and government of Hong Kong have also been putting major effort in the last 10 years in promoting it. While much progress has been made on many fronts, we still have a lot to improve. The startup eco-system is evolving steadily from virtually non-existent 10 years’ ago. Israel, also known as the startup nation is highly regarded as one of the leading places in the world in terms of entrepreneurship, with many successful technology companies that disrupted the world. What are some of the lessons that Hong Kong can learn (or even replicate) from Israel?
In this talk, Prof. Dominic Chan will share his view on entrepreneurship and innovation in Hong Kong. He will also contrast Hong Kong against Israel, and to highlight areas of improvement, including:
(a) How to nurture entrepreneurship?
(b) How to allocate government funding? and
(c) How to engage with established tech companies?
